Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Adriatic Coast Atlas collects when you visit adriaticcoastatlas.com, why, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply and to correct the site, and we delete messages when they are no longer needed, normally within 12 months.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a limited period.
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. Where the law requires it, analytics cookies are only set after you consent. You can also block them with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out add-on.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, and analytics cookies as described above. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Sharing
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host and analytics provider, or where the law requires it.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to ferry operators, tourist boards and government sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU and UK, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, use our contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date below shows when it last changed.
